Whole Worlds You Never See One Block Over From Where You Normally Walk (2025)
Large-scale photographic print on scaffold netting, 21 x 21 feet
Announcing the dense forest photograph printed on scaffold netting and installed on the façade of a Brooklyn brownstone, Shirt’s work was the first to be presented as part of the Facade Foundation, a new public arts nonprofit that transforms scaffold netting at active construction sites across New York City into large-scale public art space. Considered Shirt’s first official public artwork, the photograph was installed in Fort Greene on Carlton Avenue, between Myrtle and Willoughby Ave, from early April to early May.
