Mickey/Rap One Year Anniversary (2015)
Acrylic on found wood, guerilla installation, 2 hoursImage courtesy the artist
On the one year anniversary of the release of the Rap album, Shirt unveiled a 4x4 foot painted work of the album cover on wood, and a 6 foot tall Damien Hirst Mickey, exhibited on Bowery Street in NYC. It was the first time the artist presented one of his appropriated Mickey works publicly, leaving the works unattended on the street for hours, only staying to take a few photos. The artist later received word that a friend rented a truck and had the pieces brought to storage. The whereabouts of the works at this time are unknown.
