Printed over 8 pages in the book Reste and Fragmente, the Shirt work ‘Most Stories Don’t Come Out’ was published by Munich-based artist space FLORIDA Lothringer 13 over the summer, in an edition of 500 copies. Mostly consisting of screenshots of written and found text, the book includes part of published text conversations between Shirt and the writer Isabel Flower for Red Bull Arts, and Arthur Jafa and Theaster Gates for Interview Magazine. Posting to social media about the work, Shirt noted that copies of the book had been shipped to him days before he learned that the beloved rapper Ka—who Shirt included a lyric ‘Human me’ and video screenshot in the book from—had suddenly passed away.
