Coming across the t-shirt for the first time in a frame hanging in a vintage boutique in Brooklyn, the copyright detail on the bottom torso read: 1992 Jenny Holzer Fotofolio Editions. Bootlegging it 30 years later, Shirt’s versions read: Jenny Holzer Shirt Editions. Shirt began screenprinting the Jenny Holzer quote ‘In A Dream You Saw A Way To Survive And You Were Full Of Joy’ on various vintage single stitch, graphic, and recycled cotton tees, releasing them for sale from his online shop in December. In total between 2022-2023, some 30 different pieces were screenprinted with the quote and sold between $60-150, including a 1 of 1 camo thermal long sleeve and Supreme hoodie. In August of 2023, Shirt posted to his Instagram page that Holzer’s lawyers had sent a Takedown Notice.
