Free Store (2024)

On October 23, Shirt posted video on his social media channels indicating there was a “free store” in Bedstuy, Brooklyn, he set up. Using the existing structure of a recently closed business on the corner of Macon Street and Stuyvesant Street, new and used items were displayed with signs that read “all items are free”. Items available included: T-shirts, a jacket, tote bags, waterproof fabric spray, crocs, shorts, blank tees, pads of paper, drinking glassware, frisbees, a framed painting, zines, a glue stick, pencils, q-tips, a flashlight, a spool of string, cds, vinyl albums, a microphone shock mount with pop filter, and a new song (qr code link). In less than a couple of hours all the items had been taken. Shirt returned to the site several times to take photos of people perusing.
