“Theory” is the musical collaboration work between Shirt and the poet Kenneth Goldsmith. In the song, each of Shirt’s lyrics through three verses have been taken directly from Goldsmith’s book THEORY. Published in July 2015 by Jean Boîte Éditions in Paris, the book has been assembled in the form of a 500 sheet ream of paper. After inviting Shirt to produce an interpretation of the work, weeks later the song was completed and released. Above, a video was made by Shirt using images of the pages. The beat was produced by High Frequency.}
