Directed by filmmaker Danny Sangra and filmed at the Standard, High Line, in New York in early 2020, a short description of the 3-minute film explains the idea of “Shirt challenging legibility, using rap as language and as an act of refusal. Shirt is seen making calls to various NYC businesses, speaking only in short 'raps' the artist wrote and put together on the spot. As he tries ordering food, planning a ride to the airport or finding a rare book, moments of confusion act as a metaphor for his own experience of navigating through life often misunderstood and misread.” The film was released online September 25th and is available to watch on the director’s website here.
